Italian Developer Support Engineer in Ireland

Working in PayPal Merchant Operations, the successful candidate will be part of the Merchant Integration team, as first point of contact for web developers who are integrating any of the PayPal website payments solutions into e-commerce websites and other applications. The successful candidate will have full-stack web development experience, with a strong understanding of associated trends and technologies. A passion for internet-based business concepts, and an inquisitive and analytical nature will help drive the candidate to be best-in-class at supporting the PayPal merchant customers by acquiring an in-depth understanding of the PayPal product and e- and m-commerce in general. Candidates should have an excellent understanding of full-stack technologies, with Javascript in the front end along with a good understanding of a common back-end technology (eg. PHP/MySQL, ASP.NET, Java etc.). Experience working with third-party platforms (eg. osCommerce, Magento, Joomla!, Wordpress etc.) as well as experience in designing solutions for customers utilizing connections against third-party APIs is essential (eg. PayPal, Google, Facebook, Twitter etc.). The objectives of the role are: Support Account Management and Inside Sales team to upsell PayPal products to merchants and channel partners in local markets. Drive the integration of PayPal's products into merchants online business. Be the primary contact person for representatives of merchants throughout the integration process. Being involved from early phase of the sales process until the initial monitoring of post-sales performance. Run technical presentations, demos of functionalities and sample integrations to support sales process. Work with merchants to modify existing workflows in finance, customer service, network operations, etc. Work with sales, account management, and other internal customers to provide a seamless integration experience for the merchant. Create, modify, and install relevant scripts for developers and customers. Run test scenarios and QA testing for customer integrations. Track initial merchant performance after live-to-site launches for tracking engagement success. Stay up to date on all product features, sharing findings with peers and members of other teams. Own a portfolio of in-progress integrations from initial call through to completion, ensuring that both customer and internal stakeholder is kept informed at all times. Job Requirements: Demonstrable experience in technical pre-sales, implementation and / or consultancy. Outstanding verbal and written communication with the ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapt communication styles with all levels of client organisations. Knowledge of internet and mobile Internet based commerce and payment systems. Experience with Internet Technologies including Web Services and the ability to technically troubleshoot applications /code. Analytical Skills, the ability to provide tangible insights from a range of data sources. Highly motivated, structured yet flexible and adaptable. Ability to grasp product and functional knowledge quickly. Ability to present and train on both product and technical solutions. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, with an outstanding attention to detail. Good team player with collaborative approach and ability to forge constructive relationships quickly. Bachelors degree or equivalent, 4 years of professional related experience. Strong working knowledge of third-party platforms (eg. osCommerce, Magento, Joomla!, Wordpress etc.) Strong working knowledge of front- and back-end web technologies (eg. JS PHP/MySQL, ASP.NET, Java etc.) Personal Requirements: Be completely fluent in Italian and English. Excellent intellectual, analytical rigor and quantitative analysis capabilities; solution-driven problem solver with an innovative mindset being able to think outside the box. Ability to interact in many-way communications (email, chat, conference calls) and convey messages both verbally and in written communications.
